OUR STORY

CIVIC NEXUS was born from a shared vision: to bridge the gap between rapid technological advancement and the real-world needs of communities. While innovation accelerates, many people remain excluded—especially women, migrants, and individuals in remote or underserved areas. In 2025, co-founders Elpida Tzika and Aristofanis Zisis established CIVIC NEXUS to ensure that technology and education are inclusive, accessible, and socially impactful.

CIVIC NEXUS is a nonprofit organization active in education, sustainability, and digital transformation. Founded in 2025, we respond to rising social, environmental, and technological challenges by designing inclusive learning experiences, strengthening civic participation, and making technology more accessible and meaningful to all. We work across disciplines—bringing together educators, researchers, and communities—to co-create scalable solutions for the common good. Through digital tools, educational programs, awareness campaigns, and applied research, we aim to reduce digital exclusion, promote green and social entrepreneurship, and empower marginalized groups such as youth, women, and underrepresented communities.

With experience in over 10 European-funded projects, Elpida leads initiatives that bring to life strategies for sustainable development, education, and social innovation. Combining her academic background with a deep commitment to citizen empowerment and community impact, she ensures that every CIVIC NEXUS initiative leaves a meaningful social footprint.

Aristofanis Zisis

Co-founder & Technical Lead
